'Spider-Man 4' gets an official title, new Andrew Garfield photo released

the-amazing-spiderman-columbia.jpgThe former untitled fourth installment in the "Spider-Man" franchise has finally settled on an official name: "The Amazing Spider-Man." The title is an appropriate reference to the Marvel comic book that introduced the series back in 1963.

Columbia Pictures also released a new photo of young spidey, Andrew Garfield, in his full web-slinging suit.

The Mark Webb directed film also stars a blonde Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, while Martin Sheen and Sally Field will portray Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

Are you excited for the 2012 reboot? Or has Broadway's ill-fated "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" turned you off from the franchise?

We didn't need a reboot. The first two movies were incredible. I would've been happy with a solid 4th film, but now we'll get an underwhelming remake of the first.

Silly Hollywood. The box office will turn around when you start giving people a reason to come to the theatres.

I for one, am way pissed about this! Tobey Maguire will always be Spiderman, thats just my opinion. I wouldn't even call this movie "The Amazing Spider-Man". Also, I would have been happy with a 4th movie that picked up where the 3rd left off, but I think it's stupid to make the 4th movie to jump back to when hes younger. I just don't understand what the movie will even be about?

i hope this remake will be much better then the first ones. the first 3 spider movies sucked... Tobey Maguire was horrible as spiderman... he is not a good actor and they made spidey look like a whiney little girl who took it up the ***.
