Santorum vs. Savage: Why the conservative politician is mad at Google
Rick Santorum, the conservative former senator who's plotting his 2012 presidential run, has been complaining that one small problem in his past keeps popping up when one Googles him. Search results often show an association between him and gay sex and it has been producing those results for several years now. Why?
According to the Advocate, syndicated advice columnist Dan Savage sought to make Santorum pay for some anti-gay remarks he made in 2003 suggesting that legalizing gay sex would lead to the recognition of pedophilia and bestiality. So, Savage challenged his readers to come up with a new definition for "Santorum." And the winning entry was, "the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex."
Needless to say, the definition has stuck. And no matter what the politician may accomplish in life - even possibly ascending to the American presidency, perhaps - Google searches will still come up with the definition Savage's reader invented for him.
And Santorum knows exactly who to thank for his problem.
"It's one guy," Santorum told D.C. newspaper, Roll Call, when it asked him about the Google issue. "You know who it is. The Internet allows for this type of vulgarity to circulate. It's unfortunate that we have someone who obviously has some issues. But he has an opportunity to speak."
Oh c'mon, Mr. Santorum, we do believe it was your freedom of speech that got you in this jam to begin with.

It's amazing how he slams free speech and then says the other guy "has an opportunity to speak." Well, yes, just like you do, dude. I personally love the definition.

It just goes to show you the evil mind of the sodomite. They will do anything no matter how dishonest and under handed to discredit their opposition.
The Santorum definition is accurate from everything I've read about the man. President? LOL he couldn't even hold onto his senate seat. If he runs I look forward to holding up a sign with that definition if he ever comes to my town. Bigot = loser.
Actually, this is one of the least offensive things Santorum has said. He doesn't really say anything bad about Savage, other than that he is vulgar (which, even Savage would agree, he is sometimes).
Santorum lives in some weird fantasy bubble, where he thinks he actually has a shot to become president.
The story is eight years old, it's just news now because Santorum finally made a statement about it.
'slammer' - appetizing? No, the term came from a competition to find the most disgusting definition possible; at least try to be a little accurate.
'Sargent' - Oh yes, evil sodomites... every man and woman who participates in oral or anal sex, be they hetero or homosexual. Your epithet is as outdated as your aim is off.
