Melissa Rycroft and Tye Strickland welcome their first child

Congratulations are in order for "Bachelor Pad" host and former "Bachelor" contestant Melissa Rycroft and her insurance agent husband Tye Strickland. The couple welcomed their first child on Wednesday, Feb 16. Born in Dallas, Texas, Ava Grace Strickland weighed in at 6 lbs., 13 oz.

The couple, who wed in December 2009 in Mexico, tells People, "Our lives have changed so much in the last two years and today we've been blessed wit the best change ever, our beautiful baby girl." Both mother and child are resting comfortably.

Rycroft, 27, is most famous for being dumped by Bachelor Jason Mesnick during the "After the Final Rose" taping. He broke off their engagement after he realized he was still in love with runner-up Molly Malaney. Rycroft says she has no regrets. "Everything is wonderful and life is exactly as it should be."
