Lindsay Lohan's court day dress: Inappropriate? Surprise, surprise

Lindsay Lohan is back in court in Los Angeles today to be arraigned for a felony grand theft charge after allegedly shoplifting a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store. Lohan, who spent the day before her arraignment getting her hair done for hours, showed up to the courthouse this afternoon in a tight, form-fitting, short white dress.She looked healthier than she's looked in a while - she's not bloated, her hair is clean, and we'd presume that there are no curse words etched into her nail polish.
But is the "Basic Instinct" dress appropriate for an appearance before a judge? One Twitter commenter said that Lindsay's lawyer should "carry back-up clothing in [her] bag for her."
It would look great at a cocktail party or night club, but... for a Wednesday afternoon court appearance in January, maybe not. What do you think, Zap2it readers? Should Lindsay have worn pants?
