Justin Bieber's haircut: Fans respond, hair being auctioned for charity

Monday, Feb. 21 is a day that will live in infamy for Beliebers. Justin Bieber cut his famous locks. We hear the rioting in the streets was kept to a minimum. But the response on Twitter has been fast and furious. Hashtag #riphairflip has been a trending topic on and off since the story broke and the fans' reactions to the haircut is mixed:
- MeBeBecki: @justinbieber, those who unfollowed you because of your haircut obviously werent true fans. #riphairflip
- Alexislovesjb: Yeah, He got a haircut. #riphairflip but he still has talent! So stop being so immature about it and worry about something that matters!
- fikabieb: BIEBER ALERT. February 21th 2011 was an historical day, the world famous hairflip is gone, will miss @justinbieber 's hairflip #RIPhairflip
- lovingmyjbieber: #riphairflip may always remember the flip that had lil girls panties tingeling and moms buying cocert tickets.

We saw several tweets about how as many as 80,000 fans unfollowed Bieber on Twitter, who is currently at 7,520,816 followers as of the publishing of this article. But since we don't knwo what he was at B.H., we cannot say for sure.
A couple hours after the news of the haircut rocked the world, Bieber tweeted, "yeah so it's true...i got a lil haircut...i like it...and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction. Details coming soon."
We wonder what some Justin Bieber locks will fetch and to whom the proceeds will go?
And even though the fans were freaking out, Bieber kept things in perspective by tweeting that his prayers go out to the people of New Zealand, who were rocked by a devastating earthquake Tuesday (Feb. 22).
UPDATE: Jennifer Aniston also chopped off her locks. We like to think it was a joint decision of them calling a truce after their box office battle.

I know it's just hair but as soon as I saw it last night I couldn't sleep I feel so upset about it I just hope it grows out like it used to be I can't stop thinking about it he's just changing to fast I can't take it :(
I think it's hilarious that so many people only liked him cause they think he is hot, seriously he's NOT hot he looks like a little girl. Plus I think it's sad that people would actually buy his hair cause that's just creepy. I really wish he would just go away so I would never have to hear about him again!
So, everybody grows up. That messy hair look is 21st century for men. It's time to realize that he's not a kid anymore and should be respected as a musician, dancer, and up and coming young adult actor. As soon as he can he should have that unshaven two-day beard look and start smoking.
Jb looks like Jacob from twilight and he needs to just keep his sk8 boarding hair.
