Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez step out at Vanity Fair Oscar Party as an official red carpet couple

It's so sweet it makes our teeth hurt. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, who have been coyly denying their romance for months, dropped the act for the Vanity Fair Oscar soiree on Sunday night. The duo finally hit the red carpet together. They matched just enough, with his pocket square carefully coordinated to her red floor-length gown.

(No matching patchwork head-to-toe denim for these two. It's amazing how our teen pop idols have evolved in the last ten years.)

Though Bieber and Gomez still won't confirm their relationship when it comes to the questions of the press or their fans, actions spoke louder than words as they posed together on the red carpet as a couple. Inside the party, they took photo booth pics together and Bieber worked the room, chatting with the likes of Mick Jagger and Tom Hanks.

He didn't leave Gomez flying solo, though -- she was by his side all night, as evidenced by their twitpics.

This marks the first time either of these two young stars have walked a red carpet as part of a couple. It certainly won't be the last.
