Joe Jonas solo album details: 'The dance element is where my heart is'

Joe Jonas is back in the studio, but this time, he doesn't have his brothers by his side. 21-year-old Jonas is working with Danja, who is best known for his collaborations with Britney Spears, to create what he tells EW is "not just a cheesy pop record."

This record will be more suited for a dance club than your typical Jonas Brothers album is, so if you're expecting something "Camp Rock" friendly... don't. "The dance element is where my heart is," Jonas says. "Most of the songs are love-related, but I put the responsibility on myself to try to grab their ears again."

Jonas says that he has no immediate plans to record another record with his brothers, but Nick and Kevin have come into the studio to hear his new stuff. "I remember watching my brother Kevin's reaction, and he was just like, 'Whoa,'" Jonas says.
