Jennifer Lawrence tells Rolling Stone: 'I'm attracted to my brother'

jennifer-lawrence-rolling-stone-getty.jpg"Winter's Bone" star Jennifer Lawrence recently gave an interview with Rolling Stone, in which she talks about being a tomboy growing up ("I was so dykey"), having the nickname "Nitro" and how as a Kentucky native living in Los Angeles, "little redneck things still come out." Like what, the magazine asks.

"I'm attracted to my brother. Stuff like that."

Now this might very well turn into a big internet hullabaloo. But we suspect that Lawrence was being her usual dry self and making a joke. Though she may want to remember that being dry in print and being dry in person come across two very different ways.

For the record, Jennifer does have two brothers, Ben and Blaine, both older. We have a feeling she is not attracted to either one of them. Lawrence is up for the 2010 Best Actress Academy Award for her turn as the teenage daughter of a meth cooker trying to take care of her younger siblings. The Oscars air live Sunday, Feb. 27 on ABC.

You guys are getting brutal:

"Now this might very well turn into a big internet hullabaloo. But we suspect that Lawrence was being her usual dry self and making a joke."

... says the website that put "Jennifer Lawrence Attracted to her Brother?" as the headline on the main page.

It's like you know what you're doing is wrong, but you want the attention, so you do it anyways.

Ahh, that's a much better headline. Good on you guys for making amends! You're better than those other desperate gossip sites, that's why I come here.

Thanks Ugh, and I appreciate you holding us accountable. I hadn't even thought about what you pointed out -- nothing nefarious behind my intentions -- but once you did, I realized how boneheaded I was being.

Cheers and thanks for reading!

I feel sorry for people from Kentucky. They always get a bad rap. They've never been able to shake off that white trash incestual image. I know Jennifer Lawrence is only kidding. But she's only furthering the bad Kentucky stereotype.
