Jennifer Hudson on 'Oprah,' will address family murders for the first time

jennifer-hudson-oprah-winfrey.jpgSinger/actress Jennifer Hudson is appearing on Thursday's episode (Feb. 10) of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," where for the first time she will address the murders of her mother Darnell, brother Jason and nephew Julian.

In October 2008, Darnell and Jason's bodies were found shot to death in the family's Chicago home. Her 7-year-old nephew Julian was found a few days later in an SUV. He had also been shot. Jennifer's sister Julia's estranged husband has been charged with first-degree murder in the slayings.

Hudson has never opened up about the ordeal, but she is sitting down with Oprah (whom Piers Morgan recently fittingly referred to as "America's Therapist"). It should be an emotional episode. J-Hud will also be speaking about her incredible weight loss and will debut a brand new song.

Watch the preview below and then be sure to tune into Thursday's "Oprah" for the whole interview.
