Grammys 2011: When Justin Bieber fans attack! 10 mean tweets to best new artist Esperanza Spalding
A lot of people were shocked when the Grammys awarded the Best New Artist award to rising jazz artist Esperanza Spalding over some formidable competition, including pop nova (because "pop star" just doesn't seem fitting anymore), Justin Bieber.
So, it's only scientifically sound that his fans would exponentially lose their minds with the Bieber fever over him losing to a virtual unknown. And they're letting poor little Esperanza quite aware that she got in the way of the supernova's path.
Here are 10 of the meanest tweets we found when Bieber fans attacked:
1.) "you have a 3D movie? do 86 concerts? sell out MSG in 22 minutes? have 7mil followers? no? uh..why da f**k you win a grammy?"
2.) "hey @espespalding congrats on winning best unknown artist!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u def deserved that one"
3.) "If You Google @EspeSpalding You'll See She Has Many Albums Out ; WTF !! Why Was She Nominated If Shes Not New !!"

We're sure Bieber wouldn't approve of the crazy. After all, his last tweet was, "regardless of what happens today is a GREAT DAY...so blessed and grateful. This is just the beginning. Dream BIG and #NEVERSAYNEVER."
We're pretty sure the Bieber fans got the message... or did they?

Total lack of class on the part of Bieber fanatics. On the other hand I have to give it up to him for his singer/songwriter talent. He has great hooks in his songs and real musical sensibility and I am 56. I would never buy his albums but credit where credit is due. I think Bieber haters are going to have to live with the fact that he will be around for a while. If he was just a singer, he would be gone by this time next year but he can obviously write music that should only get better as he gets older.
Seriously, you idiots act like she nominated herself, then pick herself to win. She was chosen by a panel of musical judges. This is not a popularity contest. That would be the American Music Awards. You're crying because Esperanza has a couple of albums already out, so what about Eminem? He has a few out too. Why don't you go to the Grammy website and actually read what constitutes a New Artist. The music world is not all about Rap and Pop! Wake up and expose yourself to other types of music, stuff you don't hear on the radio, which, in a lot of cases, is ten times better that the stuff the radio stations shove down you throat.
Yah, Bieber fans, like she had ANYTHING to do with who won. She didnt know she would win and they have the nerve to attack her?? This is why people hate Bieber fans and any hysterical group of people who latch onto a celebrity. They get nasty when they dont get what THEY want. The grammy's is based on talent, not a popularity contest. Its not the MTV awards. Attacking that woman for winning an award only proves what immature children most of his fans are. He has talent, yes but so does EVERYONE else in that category. He wasnt "robbed", the better singer won. Get over it.
@BnD- it's not her fault she won but people were complaining that's it's unfair that she was up for best NEW artist when she has a few albums out already so she shouldn't be considered a new artist bc she's obviously not. Eminem wasn't up for best New artist and he deserved all his wins and nominations regardless.

Lol, these kids actually think having a lot of followers on a social networking website is relevant to winning a Grammy. Oh boy...

CRAZY AND IMMATURED
Adam Lambert fans are also miffed that he didn't win Best Male Pop Vocal Performance because his vocals are insane compared to that of Bruno Mars, but Adam is a class act and tweeted nice things about Bruno. Adam sold out 114 concerts worldwide (that's 28 more than Bieber) last year and we think he should have won over Bruno who is just now going to tour worldwide, but Bieber is only 16 years old. If he is talented, he will have another chance. We know that Adam is talented and WILL have another chance!
