Grammys 2011: Lady Gaga arrives in an egg
We think one of Lady Gaga's song titles best sums up our feelings regarding her outfit for the 2011 Grammys red carpet: Speechless.The pop star promised a red carpet surprise and did not disappoint... only slightly offended some people; She arrived at the Grammys in a gigantic egg which was being carried by four men, evoking a modern-age Cleopatra inside a "District 9" pod.
One of Gaga's supermodel nurses that walked the carpet next to her egg (Yes, seriously) spoke for the incubating Gaga, saying, "Lady Gaga is in creative embryonic stage and won't be born until later this evening."
The metaphor is kind of obvious when you take her latest song "Born This Way," which the 24-year-old is performing on TV for the first time at the awards show, into consideration. Could Gaga not-so-subtlety be saying she will be reborn tonight? A source says the outfit and the one she wears during her performance coincide with the single.
The singer's stylist Nicola Formichetti tweeted, "Gaga is in incubation. Tonight's performance is in collaboration with Hussein Chalayan and House of Mugler."
Quick, reach out to the designers ASAP or you could miss your chance to wear your very own egg. Or hang out inside of it.

I was not at all surprised with what Lady Gaga did today. She is a very creative person but she can be way over the top sometimes. She has definitely made a statement that will last for years. I am watching the Grammys on my GoogleTV box with DISH Network and it works just great for me. I can browse the internet, watch TV or tweet if I want too. It's made my life so much easier. If you purchase it through DISH Network, it's only $179 instead of the $299 retailed price. I work at DISH so as soon as I heard that it was being released, I was all over it. I love it and I know that I was probably one of the first ones to tweet about that contraption. I highly recommend that people check out DISH and explore the endless possibilities that DISH has to offer. You won't regret it.
