Grammys 2011: Did Christina Aguilera redeem herself in the Aretha Franklin tribute?
Christina Aguilera may have embarrassed herself a bit during the Super Bowl "Star Mangled Banner" incident, but we think she more than redeemed herself during the Aretha Franklin tribute at the Grammys. Not only did she remember all the words (score!), she blew the vocals out the box. Jennifer Hudson was right up there in terms of divaness breaking it down, but we think Christina really stole the tribute.
What did you think? Is Xtina back in everybody's good graces after paying such wonderful tribute to the Queen of Soul? We'll post video as soon as we have it so if you missed it, you can judge for yourself.
Following the tribute, Aretha herself gave a lovely message from her home in Detroit and says that she will be there next year in person. Get well soon, Aretha!

make sure you DVR it...she totally fell on stage at the end...or looked like she did and Florence and the machine lady helped her up! it was then the camera was far away and the song was over
She did such a good job, i am glad she redeemed herself after that superbowl disaster. Congrats Christina!
no!
she set the momentum for a horrible tribute.
im surprised at jhud's and yolanda adams' performances. wrong songs for their vocals.
jhud couldve been auditioning for the role of a lifetime as aretha in her biopic, but eh eh.
duds all around.
TOTALLY REDEEMED HERSELF!
Does anyone else wish they were all one big supergroup? haha...It was pretty cool seeing them all on stage together.
NO, she did not. You can put make-up on a pig, but it's still just a HOME-WRECKING ADULTERESS.
Heh, I saw her fall too.
Is it just me or did it feel like she was trying to steal the show? At the end of her performance she just HAD to be the last one to finish.
In my opinion, she was hardly the best vocalist on the stage.
such a powerful voice yet so annoying... i cant bear listening to her horrendous voice!
Christina aguilera KILLED IT!!! Its like noone else was on the stage with her, she totally stole the show
x-tina stole the show. she was fantastic! ;-)
