Domonique Ramirez, Texas beauty queen, reportedly loses crown for weight gain
17-year-old Miss San Antonio Domonique Ramirez recently lost her crown for, among other reasons, gaining some weight.
The visibly svelte beauty queen is so upset over being stripped of her title by Texas pageant officials, she's fighting to retain her crown.
ABC affiliate KSAT reports that Ramirez and her lawyer have filed a restraining order for her keep her title, despite the pageant board claiming its already been passed on to runner-up Ashley Dixon.
They claim it's not just Ramirez's weight gain, either. She's allegedly been arriving at events holding hands with her boyfriend (strictly verboten in pageant land!) and often not showing up at all.
Ramirez says they've been bringing up things from the past and "making stuff up."
Court proceedings are set to begin Feb. 16, and until they're settled, we may be without a Miss San Antonio altogether. For shame!
