Box Office: 'Hall Pass' enters softly at #1, 'Drive Angry 3D' has reason to be grumpy

hall-pass-movie.jpgJason Sudeikis and Owen Wilson's comedy about approved infidelity comes in at the top spot for Friday, but their wives still don't look too happy about it.

The Oscar weekend box office is off to a predictably slow start, with "Hall Pass" taking in a mere $4.7 million on Friday night. Runner-up and last week's champ "Unknown" holds tight with $4.0 million.

Another new entry, Nicholas Cage's "Drive Angry 3D," stumbles at the gate with just $2.0 million at #8. That's few millions than it has dimensions.

Elsewhere, things are shaping up a lot like last week, with the notable exception of "I Am Number Four," which dropped below  "Gnomeo & Juliet" and "Just Go With It" -- both of whom stay put at #3 and #4 with $3.4 million a piece.

Friday's top 10 movies:

1."Hall Pass," 4.7 M
2. "Unknown," $4.0 M
3. "Gnomeo & Juliet," $3.4 M
4. "Just Go With It" $3.4 M
5. "I Am Number Four," $3.2 M
