Tom Hardy, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield up for BAFTA Rising Star Award
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced the field for two of the 2010 awards: Rising Star and Best Foreign Film.The Rising Stars of 2010 are "Inception's" Tom Hardy, "Easy A's" Emma Stone," "The Social Network's" Andrew Garfield, "Quantum of Solace's" Gemma Arterton and "Kick-Ass" star Aaron Johnson. Quite a list of up-and-comers.
In a fun twist, nominees Garfield and Stone are starring as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey in the as-of-yet unnamed "Spider Man" reboot due out in 2012. Past winners of the BAFTA Rising Star include Kristen Stewart (2010) and Shia LaBeouf (2008).
For Best Foreign Film, BAFTA has given the nods to "Biutiful" (Mexico/Spain), "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" (Sweden), "I Am Love" (Italy), "Of Gods and Men" (France) and "The Secret in Their Eyes" (Argentina).
The rest of the BAFTA nominations will be announced throughout awards season.
