'The Dark Knight Rises' eyes Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley

The next Batman film has set its sights on a few prominent young actresses, including Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley, for its primary female roles. A couple lesser-known names may be in the mix as well.According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Dark Knight Rises" will have two main female roles -- a love interest for Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and the villain Talia, the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in "Batman Begins"). It's not clear which actresses are testing for which roles.
In addition to Hathaway ("Love and Other Drugs"), Biel ("The A-Team") and Knightley ("Atonement," "Pirates of the Caribbean"), Warner Bros. is also bringing in Kate Mara ("127 Hours") and British actress Charlotte Riley ("The Take") to test for director Christopher Nolan. Gemma Arterton ("Clash of the Titans") is also in the mix, but she recently booked "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," which the HR says could make her unavailable for "The Dark Knight Rises."
(Riley, incidentally, is engaged to Tom Hardy, who co-starred in Nolan's "Inception" and will also be in "The Dark Knight Rises.")
Filming on "The Dark Knight Rises" is scheduled to begin in May; it's due for release in summer 2012.

There has been NO confirmation that Talia Al Ghul is the villain. Still just rumours.
Given that there is no nudity in these films, I don't care to see any of these 3 in the next movie.
I really think they need to pick an older actress already.
I do not see a good fit with these young actresses they keep picking and Christian Bale/Batman.
The message to me seems like make them trophies vs. actual compatible romantic interests. That and that Hollywood likes the young pretty girls in the big star movies.
Umm ... Ken Watanabe played Ra's Al Ghul. Honestly, the carelessness on this site has become beyond ridiculous.
Beth - are you serious? You need to watch the movie again. Liam Neeson was Ra's Al Ghul in disguise as Henry Ducard. Watanabe was just the decoy.

I am excited to read about the Next Batman movie as I am a gigantic fan of this iconic character.
It is also a blessing to have Mr. Nolan continue as director/writer. He has revived a franchise that desperately needed it.
I understand he and his brother or also writing a screenplay for a new Superman film. We can only anticipate how that will be. He will bring life to this franchise as well. Mr. Nolan is an answer to a comic book heros prayers.
FAAAAAAAAAAAAkkkkeeeeeeeeeee please stop printing these. Heres an Idea Ask the people who matter. Anybody asked Morgan Freeman anything? Or Emma Thomas? or Charles Roven. Maybe if u interview the "supposed cast list" maybe u might find NONE of them know anything. Before you waste your time--please think about what a rumor is and where u need to focus your time.
