Sundance Film Festival 2011 kicks off

The stars are out in Park City, Utah for the annual Sundance Film Festival. 2011 marks the 27th year of the famed festival, which showcases the most notable indie films of the past year.

Sundance chairman, Robert Redford, kicks things off with a day one press conference on Thursday (Jan 20).

"Access Hollywood" and "Today" correspondent Maria Menounos bundles up for the soft opening of the Bing Bar. We can expect to be seeing plenty more celebs in outerwear, as temperatures will be averaging in the 20's this weekend.

Ryan Seacrest broadcasts his KIIS-FM radio show live from the festival on Friday morning.
