SAG Awards 2011: Why was Corey Haim left out of the In Memoriam reel?
Sunday's (Jan. 30) Screen Actors Guild Awards reminded us of the many talents lost to 2010 during the annual In Memoriam reel. This year's video highlighted the lives of the late Leslie Nielsen, Pete Postlethwaite, Rue McClanahan and Dennis Hopper, but one tragic death was mysteriously left out.
Corey Haim passed away in March of 2010 due to a reported accidental overdose. The former teen idol was 38-years-old.
Haim previously starred in the films, "The Lost Boys," "Lucas," "License to Drive" and "Dream a Little Dream." The actor was most recently noted for his 2007 reality series, "The Two Coreys," in which he starred alongside pal Corey Feldman.
So why was the 80's icon not remembered at this year's SAG Awards?
Zap2It has reached out to SAG representatives for comment.
