SAG Awards 2011: 'True Grit's' Hailee Steinfeld's 'Glee' wish fulfilled
Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar nominee and SAG award nominee for supporting actress in a film for "True Grit," was an early bird to the awards show.
Looking adorable in a striped Prada dress, the 14-year-old has already had some teen dreams come true. She met singer and actor Justin Timberlake at a screening of the film in December and ultimate pop star Justin Bieber tweeted a congrats to her after the Oscar nom. But, she is a major "Glee" fan and once tried to get an autograph from its star Lea Michele, but wasn't able to.
It seemed, though, that the red carpet gods were conspiring to make a Gleek's dream come true. E!'s Giuliana Rancic basically threw "Glee's" Chord Overstreet at her and suggested the actress would be good at playing a foreign exchange student. Huh? That made for some awkward moments as Steinfeld got a bit tongue-tied
Thankfully, TV Guide Network's red carpet host, "The Bachelor's" Chris Harrison, told her she'll have a chance to make up for that during the ceremony.
"I was let into the shrine," Harrison tells Steinfeld. "You're sitting next to the cast of 'Glee' and particularly you're sitting next to Lea Michele tonight."
Steinfeld let out a squeal. We just hope she figures out what to say to the cast and finally gets that autograph from Michele.
We're rooting for you, Hailee!
