'Real Housewives of Atlanta': NeNe Leakes says 'Gregg doesn't want a divorce,' but she's undecided

On the current season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," we've watched NeNe Leakes and her husband, Gregg, go through some painful marital problems.

In the meantime, we've been hearing a lot of "he said, she said" surrounding the status of their divorce. So, when Zap2it spoke to NeNe recently, she cleared up a few things for us.

The public first got word of the impending divorce when it seemed Gregg did a radio interview with Internet radio station, Large FM (which later aired on the Bravo show). In it, he slammed NeNe saying he had spent a lot of money to set her up in Atlanta society and he confirmed they were going through a divorce.

Here's the first catch. Gregg says he had no idea his phone conversation was being recorded and according to NeNe that's true.

"Gregg didn't do an interview with a radio station," NeNe says. "He is friendly with that guy. He called the guy at a time he was mad at me or we were having an argument and he recorded their conversation when Gregg was confiding in him."

Then, of course, there's the confusion of who filed for divorce. According to an interview NeNe did with Essence.com, Bravo edited the footage in the wrong order. According to the housewife, she filed for divorce months before he made that phone call to the radio station host. And she confirms to us that she filed the papers not Gregg as some reports say.

"I filed for divorce," she says. "So Gregg and I are currently divorcing, but it's not final."

So, the divorce has been filed and according to Radaronline.com, NeNe has hired her divorce attorney. But ten days after that report on Jan. 13, S2Smagazine.com posted an interview with Gregg saying the couple had put the divorce behind them.

"I think [divorce] has been thrown around so much that I'm over it," he tells the site. "She's over it, and we're just moving on with our life. And we're moving on with our life as best we possibly can and that's old news for the both of us."

That might just be wishful thinking on his part, though. When we spoke to NeNe the day after his interview posted, she was clearly keeping her options open.

"Gregg does not want a divorce," she tells us. "And he's trying to see what he can do to make it work. I don't know if we're going to get back together or we're going to make it final."

What's your take? Should NeNe work it out with Gregg?

I think Ne Ne and Gregg should
work it out. Divorce is hard and
sad you two can make your marriage
work. Ne Ne please forgive Gregg.
And Gregg forgive Ne Ne.

God Bless
Deborah from Florida

Gregg loves NeNe. NeNe is hurt but still loves Gregg. I think with counseling it is a repairable relationship. So I vote for staying together. The grass is not always greener when you actually get a chance to go graze.

They both still love eachother - it's obvious. I think they should go get wise, Godly counsel, and then work out their marriage. I'm praying for you both to lay down the pride, forget what others around you are saying (except wise Godly counsel), that you find a wonderful counselor and that you stay together...very happily! God can do it if you are both willing. If you are not willing at this point, pray that God would change your heart and make your heart willing. He can do it - I'm rooting for you guys...all the way! Love, Gabrielle

What a racist jealous bully she is. Run Greg run you can do better.

Big fat nene is nothing but a loud mouth piece of ghetto trash. I hope she isn't doing another season of housewives. I'm tire of having to look and listen to that trashy broad. I can't wait to hear Donald trump telling her she's fired. It will be the closest that skag has been to having a real job. Her ten minutes are up and it's time for her to get her fat *** back in the welfare line!

Who cares? Go back to your interning program and ask Jermaine Dupri for a gopher job.

I thought this was a TV show. If you have family and friends, unrelated to the franchise, it would seem more appropriate to seek or expect support from those individuals - not cast members, where some -repeatedly - claim they "don't know" each other very well. Woman, your 15 minutes have almost expired. Hence, it is up to you to make the best of it! So go find some couth, discover yourself - and until you do, sit down and shut up!!!

I liked NeNe and could stomach her for the most part, because i knew most of it was for TV. BUT this season made me truly dislike the person that she's become because of the media attention and so-called "15 minutes of fame". This last episode made me feel ashamed not only for her, but for every woman (esp. AA woman) out there. She made a complete fool of herself, was over the top and so disrespectful. Kim didn't deserve any of that and neither did her assistance. When her time is up on "TV" she'll see just how important friends/family are. I can certainly understand why her husband felt the way he did, because she did allow this attention to make her act arrogrant. All good things come to an end, especially when you walk on people trying to get there.

Nene Is a BIG mouth witch.. Greg deserves better. If I were Kim, I would beat her ***!!

nene is a big fat cow biatch!
