Ophiuchus and 'new' zodiac signs not news to former Sagittarius, Bill Nye
The world may be in a collective tizzy over the news that we all may (or may not) have new signs of the zodiac, but one person who isn't likely surprised by this development is Bill Nye, 'The Science Guy.'
Gawker (via JawWiredShut) points to a 2004 episode of his show, in which the all-knowing children's show host points out that the sun hasn't been rising in the proper constellations for some years now.
"I'm a Sagittarius," he says. "So, on my birthday, you might expect the sun to rise in the constellation Sagittarius -- and it did, 2,000 years ago, when the Babylonians made all this up."
He makes no mention of "Ophiuchus," but he does explain that the wobbling of the earth is the cause of this shift and it won't be stopping any time soon.
"Astrologers are off one full sign," he continues. "In 2000 more years they'll be off two signs. But they don't seem to care."
Well, they do now.

You give your readers too much credit. Meaning you printed a story such as this thinking that they are ACTUALLY INTELLIGENT enough to comment about it. Yea, I'm pretty much referring to 90% of the posters here.
stop the hate, jdub. you didn't even have anything to say about the video. unecessary. i guess you just need some attention... here you go. 0_0
my farts smell like dreams.
Well, there's different types of Zodiacs...Western people tend to use a fixed Zodiac so Bill is right in saying they don't care, he didn't say they don't know about the change though. I guess there's just the difference between astrologers and astronomers.
This is a bunch of BS. There are only 12 months so I am happy with 12 signs. And who wants a sign that you can't even pronounce? Why complicate things after that many years that we have had 12 signs. I am an Aries and will be an Aries till I die. Pices does not fit me at all.
good point $indi
People are just afraid of change and acepting new things. so why don't we all adapt to our new signs. its no big deal anyways, those signs dont real determine who you are or what you are going to be.
