Monica, Shannon Brown wed in hush-hush November ceremony

Looks like we were all a little tardy to the party for these nuptials.

Monica and LA Laker Shannon Brown tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony on Nov. 22 of last year. Brown made the announcement official on Wednesday (Jan. 19), with reports shortly following throughout the media.

"It's true. That's my wife, I'm her husband," he tells Hiphopnonstop.tv. "We're going to continue to make positive things happen."

According to Sandrarose.com, the couple intends to hold an official wedding and reception for family and friends this June in LA. The site also reports that Monica has filed with the Clayton County DMV to legally change her name.
