Mary Harvey on Steve Harvey's infidelity: 'It's rape to me'

Though years have passed since their 2005 divorce, Steve Harvey's ex-wife Mary has recently come forward to slam him in a series of YouTube videos and an appearance on the Tom Joyner Morning Show on Monday morning. Mary says that Steve's infidelity still troubles her. "The reason I've been silent this entire time is because I did take into consideration what it would do to both of our families and our community," she tells Joyner. "But keeping quiet hasn't served me physically. It hasn't served our son. I have suffered physically because of it. I'm not in good health right now."
Mary alleges that Steve was unfaithful and that his current wife, Marjorie Bridges, was his mistress.
Not only a comedian and host, Steve has written several relationship books, including "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man," and Mary believes that he owes an apology to women who have bought his books believing in his integrity.
Joyner, a friend of Steve's, suggested that he does do good for the community.
"I have no doubt about that, but from a victim standpoint, it's like saying to someone who was raped and had not had closure from his attacker that he's still doing some good," Mary said. When Joyner tried to steer her away from using the word rape, she insisted, "It's rape to me."
Steve's attorney released a statement calling Mary's YouTube videos false and defamatory.

Mary Harvey needs to get over it. She should try therapy & start dating. She is not the 1st person to be cheated on and she won't be the last. She needs to become a strong woman and stop being so Bitter. So what he left! Now what are you going to do, move on and find happiness.

There is a child involved!!!! Does anyone understand the love that a mother has for her child. He should have never taken her child away. Yes,She needs to move on. However, is it right that he cheated and he is writing books on relationships and he is a Cheater? Please be fair to his ex-wife!!
Just like Steve have the right to tell his side....Mary has the right to tell hers. This is not new....it happens all the time with men that have money and the women are silenced. He has said himself that he has done some things just have not told anyone what it was.
Mary needs to get a life. She needs to move on, she isn't the only wife that has been cheated on & won't be the last. I heard her on the TJM show this morning & she really needs help. What happened with her marriage in 2005 should not effect her now. The only reason it is effecting her is because she is bitter. She can't sleep because of herself, not Steve. If cheating is all Steve allegedly did, than she is more fortunate than wives that have been beaten. Not once did she say that. I only heard her say she was cheated on, her, me & 99.9% of other wives & women have been cheated on, it's life, time to move on Mary before YOU, NOT STEVE, send you to your grave. If their son wanted to talk to her, he would find a way to call her. I don't think she is telling everything, but I don't think she needs to say anything. She actually needs to shut her trap. She doesn' realize how big of a fool & a nutcase she makes herself look like. If you do dirt, you get dirt. If her accusations are true then all she has to do is sit back, keep quiet & it will all work its way out. She needs to think about her son & stop this foolishness. Her marriage & divorce should not be played out for all of America or the world. Mary, get a life & get a Bible & read because you sure do need it.
I agree MOVEON! The only type of people that are still bitter over a bad relationship that ended 6 years prior- ARE PSYCHOTIC. And like the previous commenter said, there's MORE TO HER than she is telling...THERE ARE COURTS OF LAW IN THIS COUNTRY AND IF A JUDGE DID NOT GIVE HER CUSTODY OF HER KID THEN HE DID SO WITH GOOD REASON. What is it she 'has a lot to learn lady?' This man has a heck of a nerve. She is right, he goes on Dr. Phil, Oprah and alike, to brag about HOW much knowledge he has about women and family and girlfriends, and men in general.
And he is a cheater. He is a liar. His new wife is full of BS too. She is just as much to blame, HE WAS MARRIED.
I don't blame this woman, I'd be ****-ed as heck if he acted all Saintly, this man of God and all.

His newest wife better beware. She seems like a decent lady, but, if she knew he was married and still was with him, that makes her less than a woman too.
He is on Oprah and Dr. Phil all the time offering his advice on how to have relationships and i find out he is nothing but a hypocrite, like MOST 'men of God.'

After listening to this, I'm confused. Is this just for book sales? Is she in need of money; what's up?
