Listen to Britney Spears' new track 'Hold It Against Me' now!
#BRITSURRECTION is underway with Monday's (Jan. 10) online release of Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me," the first track off her new untitled CD due out in March, and if the single is any indication of what's to come than Ms. Britney is back in a big way. The new clubbanger and surefire Top 40 hit is, in a word: Uh-maze!The demo of the song featuring songwriter Bonnie McKee, which hit the interwebs last week, had the blogosphere buzzing big time. Britney even teased fans in a Tweet including the song's cover art, "Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that's good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday." However the reigning pop princess or queen -- depending on which fan is reading -- treated fans to a sneak peek a day earlier than the originally announced official release date Tuesday, January 11, 2011. The "Hold It Against Me" stream hit both Z100 New York and Ryan Seacrest's official websites simultaneously during the early a.m. The single is already blowing up with overwhelmingly positive response across Twitterverse and the rest of the social network.
The song's infectious sound blends a funky beat, which is stylistically reminiscent of Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World," with signature Britney nuances throughout the lyrics ("I might be a little haaazy" and "Hey, you might think that I'm craaazy").
To further build up anticipation for the millions of Brit loyalists who've been anxiously awaiting new music from the pop star, her official website has also posted a handy "11 Ways to Get Ready for Hold It Against Me."

Why can't this girl just re-invent herself. Surprise everyone, pick up a feaking guitar, write a book, something that shows she has talent and not just an ability to sing songs that other people wrote. And you can have all the ability, but if you can't write your own music and lyrics, you ARE NOT TALENTED. Hell, Dave Grohl recorded his first album by himself. @JayDub, rude much? Anyway, Britney writes music and has done so in a big way since her third album, she executive produced the album Blackout and plays the piano. So failure that you are, anymore complains? Beeing elitist and then failing like you do makes you look kind of pathetic.
SORRY Joseph (writer of this article), but Britney is NOT the Queen of Pop... that title belongs to MADONNA. There is no debate. It's a widely accepted fact/opinion.
Michael Jackson = King
Madonna = Queen
Britney if anything is a Pop Princess, so is Lady Gaga. Nobody has bumped Madonna off the throne yet. The two who have shaped, molded and innovated the Pop Music world the most are Michael Jackson & Madonna.
Please try and show me what Britney has done to be considered for the title. She's very popular yes, but what has she done to alter and shape the Pop Music and music video world in the ways Madonna has?
If anyone is ever going to de-throne Madonna someday it will be Lady Gaga.

I love music, just not the bubblegum crap that a studio mixing machine spits out. Real artists do EVERYTHING themselves. They don't hire a team of 5 just to write one song. move on little girl. It doesn't sound good at all. The whole song just seems auto-tuned to a certain degree.
I'm no Britney fan so I may be biased against her.
