Kristen Stewart has a Jenny Lewis girl crush, misses being 'some chick'
It's tough to remember a time with "Twilight's" Kristen Stewart was just "some girl" on the street, but that time surprisingly wasn't too long ago. In the latest issue of Vogue, the actress recalls her days of being able achieve anonymity.
"It bothers me that I can't be outside very often. And also to not ever be just 'some girl' again," she says. "Just being some chick at some place, that's gone."

"It really erupted," she says of her sudden rocket to Twi-hard super-stardom. After filming, but before the release of the first "Twilight" film she had just wrapped "Welcome to the Rileys" in New Orleans.
"I feel so good walking down the street by myself," she says of the area. "At least I used to." Going back for one more week of work, she suddenly found herself unable to walk down those same streets. "It was a weird thing to watch," the 20-year-old remembers.
Though she may seem jaded, the girl behind Bella Swan does still does get star-struck. Especially when it comes to Rilo Kiley front woman and Jake Gyllenhaal's ex, Jenny Lewis. Huh, two Jenny Lewis references in two days.
"She's the only person I've ever met that I can't function around," Stewart admits.

nice to leave out how happy she is to be able to give back, how she wants to help create a charity. Also remember past interviews she's said over and over how grateful she is for the positive side of fame, namely to have more opportunities to get good roles. She's into the craft of acting, not the fame. What's so wrong with that? Nothing, that's what.

oh so you know more than Jodie Foster, Sean Penn, Jake Scott, Robert De Niro and the plethora of other actors and directors who've worked with her or want to work with her? lol Why don't you laugh in James Woods's face who's waiting for her to be available to film his next movie American Girl and get back to me. Yeah, she must be really horrible for all of these people to rave about her.
Mike D. - I completely agree with you. She's horrible. She plays every role the same way. Yes, she had no idea that Twilight would explode the way it did, and she was contractually obligated to film New Moon and Eclipse, but no one forced her to film Breaking Dawn (and accept the millions of dollars that she received for doing so). She could have rejected fame; she's chosen instead to embrace it, but complain about it. Millions of actors and actresses would kill to have the opportunities that this young woman has been given. If she wants to be "some chick" again then she should stop acting. If she does not wish to do so, then she should stop whining about how successful her film was that it catapulted her to stardom. She always sounds like an ignorant brat.

I am so sick of people hating on Kristen Stewart. Those who do hate on her, have not seen her other non-Twilight films. People who say she plays the "same character" are full of ****-they obviously have not seen some of the many non-Twilight films she has done. For example- Cake Eaters, The Runaways, or Speak---all are different ranges for her. She does not owe anyone apologies, does not owe anyone an autograph, does not owe anyone ****. Just because she CHOSE to act does not mean she needs to cater to her fans' every whim. The argument, "well she wanted to be famous, so why is she complaining?" is so over done. Seriously, she didn't want to be Paris Hilton or Britney Spears-so fuckng get off her case already!! She just wants to do what she loves and be able to be normal-who says people in Hollywood can't be that? She has beauty and talent, so that must be why people hate her. She is only 20 and has a long time to go in her career, all the haters will eventually catch on and will eat their words. Above all, she is a human being and deserves respect! She is not a hunchback-as some moron said, and is not fat, a lesbian, gay, or any other label-she is simply herself. LAY OFF!
What makes you think that people who don't like KStew haven't seen her other movies? I'm pretty sure they have, otherwise they wouldn't be saying she's a terrible actress with no range. There's certainly enough evidence of it. And although she doesn't need to cater to her fans' every whim, as you say, she does have some obligation. It comes with the job. Stop ********. And maybe she is gay, and maybe not. The fact that so many folks get gay vibes off of her speaks for itself, but it doesn't matter either way. Do yourself a favor and stop acting offended. Unless of course you are KStew. Otherwise, get a life. I'm sure there are actors/actresses whom you don't like. Right now you sound like an idiotic Twihard who worships anything and everything Twilight.
