Kim Kardashian vs. Teen Moms: Bring on the catfight
"Role model" Kim Kardashian feels that for some reason, she owes it to the youth of America to provide them with guidance during this confusing time of famous young mothers.Taking to her blog, the reality star writes, "It seems that shows like "Teen Mom" are all of the sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!"
Right, because the appropriate way to get famous is by leaking a sex tape.
Unsurprisingly, the Teen Moms are not pleased.
Hot mess Amber Portwood has fired back, telling E! News, "There's actually a study that shows since the original '16 and Pregnant' aired, the number of teen pregnancies has gone down."
Not that we generally support any of Portwood's actions, but at least she's not trying to play the "but-I-am-a-role-model" angle.
"She made a sex tape when she was younger, and she wants to bash the girls on 'Teen Mom'?" Portwood says. "If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through."
Jenelle Evans of "Teen Mom 2" doesn't quite put it so eloquently.
"I want to say, s*** happens," Evans says.
Yes, indeed it does.

I am 28 yrs old, and I have been watching the programs of teen mom 1,2 and Sixteen and Pregnant from the beginning.
It doesn't glamorize teen pregnancy, any way, shape, or form.
I watch it, and it makes me think twice before I have sex.
How does she goes from sex tape queen to sex educator.

Kim can say not to idiolize the Teen Moms for their behavior and for getting pregnant so young. Both Jenelle and Amber have been to jail! Wow, I used to be THE BIGGEST fan of Kim Kardashian! I've seen every episode of "keeping up with the kardashians" at least a hundred times!! But now she can kiss this fan goodbye!! How dare she speak of teen moms in this degrading way!! She has no idea how hard it is for young women like us and what we go through!! MTV doesn’t idolize anything except the struggles and heartbreak becoming a mom so early causes these young women!! Kim's an idol to so many young women, yet she's showing them that its cool and sexy to pose for playboy, and have UNPROTECTED sex! She has a sex tape on the internet for crying out loud! I understand everyone makes mistakes, but she can just swipe her credit card and her worries go away! We have to fight and struggle everyday just to make a living and put food on the table!! I've watched so many people hate on Kim, saying "she's only famous for being famous" and watched it crush her feelings, but yet she's sitting here doing the same thing to these poor young girls! It’s not only rude but WRONG!! Who is she to judge us! I don’t see anywhere in the show “teen mom” that getting pregnant is a trend!? Silver, teen moms only have their selves to blame. Not only should they not even be having sex yet, but there are so many ways to avoid pregnancy now that rape is the only excuse for unwanted pregnancy. You have stuff like birth control pills, birth control patch, male and female condoms, morning-after pill, etc. And she is right, these teen moms should be ridiculed and laughed at, NOT given all this publicity and money. I laugh at idiots who defend all these loose girls who are getting pregnant at 16 and I look down on all those ****ty girls.
TJ, the girls themselves are not asking for money!! As you see the magazines and media are publishing them!! Yes there’s ways to prevent pregnancy, but you can’t tell me you were perfect at that age either!! Yes they should use contraceptives, but people make mistakes!! But they should not be criticized for that! && birth control is not always 100% effective. I was on the patch and I still got pregnant at 18! Oh lord...first, TJ how old were you the first time you had sex? Are you perfect? Just because these girls had sex and got pregnant at a young age doesn't make them loose or sluts, it makes them human. People always have and always will make mistakes. NO ONE should be ridiculed or laughed at for messing up, especially when there is a child involved. As far as there being no excuse for unwanted pregnancy except rape...my 42yr old aunt got pregnant ON birth control, so if you think all birth control is 100% you just might wind up right where those girls you are ridiculing are. 2nd, that makes you absolutely pathetic that you look down on ANYONE. Nobody is better than anyone else, some just have better sense, better resources, or better luck. And lastly....just what exactly is Kim famous for?
