Jesse James and Kat Von D engaged: 'He's the one'

A match made in a tattoo parlor! Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, Jesse St. James, is engaged again, this time to tattoo queen Kat Von D. Do note that it's less than a year after news first broke that he had cheated on Bullock with Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.

When Bullock triumphantly announced the adoption of her son Louis and moved on with her life, we'd sort of hoped that James would quietly fall off the radar, never to be written about or heard from again... but here we are.

Von D (born Katherine von Drachenberg) is quite a success story. Best known for starring on TLC's "Miami Ink" before spinning off into her own series "LA Ink," Von D also has a successful makeup line and has had a tattoo art book reach #6 on the New York Times Bestseller List (which was a considerably more impressive accomplishment last week, before Snooki's book hit the list, but we digress).

"You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs," James tells People. We'll try not to roll our eyes.

"My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f***ing blast!" he continues.

James, who lives in Austin, TX, has no plans to move to Los Angeles, where Von D lives -- and she's not going to Texas, either. "If only it were that easy," Von D says. "Having two places we call home will be good for now. In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart's with him. He's the one."
