'Glee's' Lea Michele wants you to ride a cab, not a horse

lea-michele-peta.jpg"Glee" star Lea Michele may not have time to drop a solo album right now, but the New Yorker did take some time out of Rachel Berry's busy schedule to join PETA stand up for some NYC horses who can't speak for themselves.

You know those romantic carriage rides through the city streets that seem to be so popular when all the holiday lights are out? Michele, posing next to a horse that's so pretty we're not entirely sure it didn't come out of a My Little Pony box, wants to make sure you know that the romance isn't worth the trauma it may cause to the animals.

"Imagine for a moment that you're forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week--whether it's sweltering hot or freezing cold outside," Lea says. "At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on an easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long. That's what it's like for horses who are forced to pull carriages in New York City."

"Don't get taken for a ride," she says. "Please boycott horse-drawn carriages."

Good the condition some animals have to endure is unnecessary.

Sorry but she is an idiot.
Horse are breed to work and the people that own the carriges know that the horse is their bread and butter. They take extreamly good care of those animals

If you don't like them then dont pay to get a ride, But do not tell me what to do or what not to do. Just because you are famous does not give you the right to preach to us about this. There are far more things that need to be fixed and delt with. Now bend over spread cheeks and remove head.

This has gone too far. Horses on carriages? Really? Now these communists are ******** about this too?
