Bristol Palin has not changed son Tripp's name from Johnston to Palin
Parents and former betrothed Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston may not have the best record of getting along -- but reports that the former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant has had her ex's last name erased from 2-year-old son's are apparently false.
E! News reports that Tripp Johnston is still Tripp Johnston, citing an Alaska court official who's confirmed that no legal petition to change his name has been filed.
Talk of a possible name change started after Bristol allegedly took to her private Facebook page, simply posting "Tripp Easton Mitchell Palin...PALIN!!!"
Should this sentiment ever prompt her to take action, she'll have to get Johnston's permission.
