Beyonce's 'A Star is Born' remake should definitely take place in the '70s
If rumblings of a Clint Eastwood-helmed, Beyonce-starring musical remake of "A Star is Born" are true, then we'd like to be first to beg that it follow the lead of the 1976 version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
Sure, they're likely planning a contemporary take -- or worse, an old-timey homage to the 1937 classic or Judy Garland's 1956 entry -- but everyone should take a moment to consider how much cooler this would be with a disco backdrop.
We already know Beyonce can rock that decade. Two of her biggest film forays ("Dreamgirls" and "Austin Powers in Goldmember") have already put the singer in '70s garb to epic results.
As for her yet-to-be-cast romantic lead, Deadline suggests that Jon Hamm is among the actors in the running -- to which we say another, 'Hell yes.' It seems likely that "Mad Men" will be stuck in the '60s forever. This could be our only chance to see Don Draper with sideburns and a mustache.
So what do you think of a fourth incarnation of "A Star is Born?" And are we alone in wanting Beyonce to bring back the 'fro and gold lamé?

I'm really looking forward to this, especially with Jon Hamm. Beyonce has been growing as an actress. She was excellent in Cadillac Records. I'm excited to see what she does next, especially with such a great director.
Clint is scraping the bottom of the barrel she can't act or even talk LMFAO.
Yuck!
It looks like Beyonce is still chasing an Oscar.
Beyonce should take some serious acting lessons if she's going to pull this one off. She's awful!
