Anna Benson: Kris Benson's hot baseball wife outshines him in retirement

With news of MLB player Kris Benson's retirement, fans seem more upset about wife Anna Benson losing her place in the spotlight.

The couple met in Atlanta during Anna's days as a stripper and have been married for over 10 years. Though Kris began their relationship as the more famous of the two, he was quickly outshone by the public's interest in his lady love.

Anna has been named "baseball's hottest wife" by FHM Magazine, and became infamous for her outspoken nature. Her husband finishes his career earning $39 million as a totally average player, according to Yahoo! Sports. Not great, but not terrible either.

The former stripper has appeared in several magazines (usually in lingerie), and competed in the 2005 World Series of Poker under the name "Gold Digger."

In an interview with Howard Stern, she once claimed that if her husband ever cheated on her, she would retaliate by sleeping with the entire Mets organization.

Despite her husband fading even further from relevance, something tells us we'll be seeing more of Anna.
