'American Idol's' Alex Lambert: Not really homeless, just kind of weird

alex-lambert-homeless.jpgFor those of you following along at home, on Tuesday, former "American Idol" contestant and "If I Can Dream" roomie tweeted up a storm about how he's homeless, living on the streets, and sleeping behind buildings.

Lambert, whose "Idol" exit was considered to be too soon by a lot of very loud people during Season 9, is now taking it back. Sort of.

A rep for his management company, 19 Entertainment, tells EW, "He's not homeless. I don't know where that came from. He's on a retainer, and he's getting money every month. He's working on demos. He's with writers, he's working on music. He's not homeless. How could he be texting? How could he be going into recording studio and sleeping on the streets? There's no record deal yet, but hopefully, these demos, something could come from that."

Uh, whoops? Looks like Lambert may have gotten a bit of a talking-to from 19E, because he did some olympic backpedaling on his Twitter today.

"I have money! And soon I will have a place to stay! I just wanted to let yall know! I'm not some rich spoiled kid! That I've had to hustle and grind and I don't mind sleepin on the street as long as I get my chance! Because I will not take it for granted! I hope yall understand. Sorry for the miscommunication;) I'm just fine! MAHALO!" he wrote.

Okay then.

He followed up by trying to make the top trends. TT time haha ! I'm about to post a video to warn the haters!! lol" he writes. Unfortunately, his crusade was unsuccessful.
