Alex Pettyfer, Dianna Agron's rumored beau, dodges 'girlfriend' question

Alex Pettyfer is pretty much everywhere these days. He stars in February's film adaptation of "I Am Number Four," is up for a similarly genre-tastic role in "His Mortal Instruments" and he's dating "Glee" star Dianna Agron.

He drops by the Jan. 28 episode of Ellen DeGeneres' show. And, as only she can, Ellen gives him the third degree on his love life.

"Yeah, she's an amazing woman," Pettyfer says of Agron, who also stars in "Number Four." "She's got this old school, classic movie star elegance to her. She's amazing."

Two uses of "amazing" in one answer is enough to keep Ellen pushing, especially after Pettyfer dodges a direct question by taking a sip from his mug.

"Oh, here comes the water," says Ellen. "The question is if you all are a couple. He takes another sip, and that is a big tell that you are.

Pettyfer abstains from taking another sip, only saying that he's very happy with his personal life.

This guy comes off as such a tool. And of course Ellen had to ask about the relationship, especially considering it the ONLY thing he is known for right now. Who really cares if they are dating or not? Neither one will admit it in interviews so stop asking. It just reeks of PR and that's why no one believes the relationship is real. I think if they just confirmed it there would be less attention drawn to it and obviously since neither of them will when it's obvious that they are they're just trying to keep it in the press to create a buzz. Because once it's confirmed people will stop talking about them and.......the movie. Since thats the only reason people are talking about the movie right now. The TV spots are crap. Everyone I talked to who knows nothing about the movie has no interest in it because the TV Spots are so vague and no one has any idea of what the film is actually about. The TV spots make you think the movie is crap since they barely show any dialogue or plot.

You are the tool here Lindsay you are a stones throw away from being a person who basically hates for no reason. I know for a fact you haven't seen the movie like the the majority of the public and here you are basing the TV spots and previews and your talk with a friend or two who still probably live in their mommies basement and also have NOT seen the movie. So who's the real tool here? Hands down that would be you. Only thing worth picking out of your trashy comment is that Alex's relationship to Dianna probably is PR related and they are dolls attached to a string. If Alex picks the right gal I'm sure he'll be somewhat more open about it but it doesn't seem so if he continues to date Hollywood trash like Dianna and Emma. He was a real sport on Ellen considering it's his first American talk show appearance. Even hugged her at the end was very genuine not so tool then that of you!

I saw "I am Number Four" I thought it was an excellent movie. Alex is a good actor. I am curious as to why everyone is trying to make him out to be so bad. He is nothing but professional and polite in every interview I have seen.
I do agree that the promos for the movie were not that great. I did not expect much and was pleasantly surprised.
