Will.i.am disgusted by new Michael Jackson Album: 'It's not Michael Jackson'
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am made no attempt to hide his feelings regarding Michael Jackson's posthumous album, "Michael," saying, "It disgusts me."When Will.i.am was asked to elaborate his feelings of disgust, he says, "Hell, yeah, I feel that way, and I'll tell you why. A couple of months before Michael died, he called me on the phone really upset. 'Hey, it's Michael. Somebody leaked one of these songs. Why would they do that? Who does that?' I said, 'What song, Mike?' 'Some song called 'Hold My Hand.' I swear to God I had this conversation with him."
Will.i.am argues that Jackson was a perfectionist and it's disrespectful to release an album that he obviously had no say over. "He was very critical about every single detail. He stood in the studio himself, mastering and mixing everything," he argues. "How can you release a record without that Michael Jackson? It's not Michael Jackson.He wasn't there to do his micro-Michael-managing that he did with 'Thriller' and 'Billie Jean.'"
Finally, Will.i.am insisted that none of the songs that he collaborated with on with Jackson will ever be released.

Right after Michael died he said that he doesn't know what's gonna happen to his unreleased music, he wasn't against it.... But now that his music won't be on the album..... ugh
If Michael would have been against it he would have said that at least in his will. This benefits his children!
While I kind of see his point... Is anyone else amused by the irony of Will.I.am. being disgusted at anything in the music industry?? I suppose his recent works have come from a place of total disregard for "what sells" ?

I also don't believe him. At some point whatever he worked on with Jackson will be remixed, Fergie's vocal will be thrown on, and it'll get a new title- just enough changes so he can argue that it's a brand new thing. Sort of like what they did with their new track...
Yeah Wil.I.Am can frankly just shut up...BEP's havent put out anything decent in the past while, other then generic club beats..
Michael specifically said that his unreleased music was his legacy to his kids so that they would always be taken care of. Wil needs to relax and stop acting like he is the king of music.
Yes, Michael was a perfectionist with his music... but as profits made from any of his unreleased music will benefit his children I don't think he'd care. His love for his children is greater I'm sure. He'd want them provided for at any cost.
And mark my words, as soon as Will.i.am's fame starts to fade and he's in need of more money, he'll over come any supposed misgivings he has about releasing his work with Michael Jackson.
On the one hand, will.i.am is annoying me of late. On the other hand, I too am disgusted at what lengths the Jackson's still go through to earn yet more money off of Michael.
