'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Trailer: Where's Shia?!
Our one sentence opinion on the new "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" trailer? This looks dumb. Oh, you want us to elaborate? OK, we're here to please. 1. There's no Shia LaBeouf. 2. It's set completely in 1969 when the first man walked on the moon. 3. No Optimus Prime or Megatron.
We get that there's a lot of conspiracies about the moon landing, but we don't understand what that has to do with our hero Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf). Maybe it's better to use the word teaser because that's what this trailer does. We're not sure what exactly the plot is, but it does have us wondering what on earth is going on.On the plus side, we get to meet (kind of) a new transformer: Alpha Trion, who apparently has a beard/goatee. According to Wikipedia, Alpha Trion is one of the Original 13 Transformers and is "generally depicted as an ancient mechanoid with a link to Optimus Prime." We don't know what that means.
Also of note: New Transformer babe Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who replaces Megan Fox, is nowhere to be seen. We're guessing producers want to keep fan boys eagerly awaiting their first peek at Huntingwon-Whiteley. Smart move.
There is one positive about the trailer: Director Michael Bay resists showing something blow up for over two minutes! Baby steps, people.

I still want Megan Fox than Rosie..but, if I can't see her in this movie, no problem...
I am soooo glad they dropped Fox. That woman couldnt act herself out of a wet paper bag. She was only there for the hot factor.
I've never had much interest in the Transformers series. But, honestly, I think this looks cool.
I've been a HUGE Michael Bay fan ever since directing Bad Boys 1 but without a doubt I can't wait to see the brand new Transformers coming out on 7-1-11 in 3D. This third one going to rock than the previous two and I'm sad there's no Megan Fox but Shia's still in this action - packed flick.

That's why this is called a teaser trailer. Or more specifically, this is why the preview was labelled an "announcement trailer" before its release.
You DO realize that movies tend to have more than one trailer (and even a Super Bowl spot) before they're released, right? Yea thanks for reading.
OK.. you are an idiot dude. it dosent take place in 1969. Just a small portion of it. there IS an optimus and megatron, and some new autobots. you cant judge a damn movie by a friggin trailer!! oh and there is shia.
The trailer does not look dumb, and don't freak out because the main actors don't appear in the trailer ! The trailer shows a bit of the plot and it is awesome !
i saw megaton in the trailer deactavated in the ship and what makes this movie look good is the appearance of unicron and i think that one seen in 1969 was to unicron. its as if you people don't pay attention and then make the movie sound terrible just because you don't think it looks good.
