Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger suffers broken nose, surgery to follow
It looks like surgery for Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The QB took a hit to the face early in the Steelers' matchup against division rival, the Baltimore Ravens, on Sunday, Dec. 5.
Despite some profuse bleeding from his nose, Roethlisberger returned to the game where the Steelers defeated the Ravens 13-10.
Though anyone watching could see Big Ben's clearly misplaced facial appendage, he confirmed "a big arm got in and hit me and broke it," after the game. That makes two breaks for Roethlisberger, as he entered the game with an already broken foot.
Although he will be available to play in his teams match-up against the Bengals (where he will face athlete-turned-reality-stars Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco) on Sunday (Dec. 12), NFL Fanhouse is reporting that Roethlisberger will undergo sugary the following Monday to fix the damage.
