Marilu Henner has a better memory than you -- it's scientifically proven

If Marilu Henner happens to Google herself and see this story, there's a very good chance she'll remember where and when she was when she read it.

The former "Taxi" and "Evening Shade" star is one of only a few people (as far as anyone knows, at this point) who can basically remember every day of her life -- or at least huge chunks of it. It's a phenomenon called "superior autobiographical memory," and it (and Henner) was the subject of a "60 Minutes" segment on Sunday (Dec. 19). 

Scientists aren't entirely sure how it works yet, but Henner and a handful of other people can recall what they wore, ate or did on pretty much any random date you could pull out of the air (see the clip below for some crazy/weird examples of their recall). Dr. James McGaugh, a professor of neurobiology at the University of California-Irvine, says unlocking the keys to superior autobiographical memory could be "a new chapter" in neuroscience.

"We think we knew a lot and all of a sudden, these people come and display a kind of memory we've never seen before, and we have to say, 'Woo, what is that about?'" McGaugh tells "60 Minutes." "So we're going to take a look and see if we can figure that out. And it could be very important."
