Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson exchange Christmas gifts; Fallon wins

Late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson continued their on-air lovefest Thursday night (Dec. 16) -- although considering what went down on Ferguson's show, their friendship may be headed for a rough patch.

Fallon and Ferguson are direct competitors in the 12:30 a.m. time period, but they don't act like rivals. They're Twitter buddies and have mentioned each other's shows on air -- heck, they even coordinated an on-air stunt back in June.

Thursday night, they exchanged Christmas gifts -- and Fallon definitely got the better of it. Ferguson sent him a couple of adorable kittens (named Regis and Kelly), which you can see in the clip above. And Fallon sent Ferguson what could be the most garish Christmas sweater we've ever seen.

Ferguson did the polite thing and gushed over his present at first. By the end of the show, though, he was a little less excited, as you can see below.

We hope the Ferguson-Fallon friendship can survive this little bump in the road.
