Joining the storied ranks of Laura Dern, Melanie Griffith and... Freddie Prinze Jr., Joe Mantegna's daughter Gia will hand out statuettes as "Miss Golden Globe" at the 2011 Golden Globes.

In a press conference with the Hollywood Foreign Press, the institution which plans the Golden Globes, Mantegna was announced as the latest acting heir to grace the Golden Globe stage.

Mantegna, 20, made her acting debut at 13 in father Joe's 2003 movie "Uncle Nino." She's since appeared in episodes of "Medium," "Criminal Minds" and "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." She currently stars on Nickelodeon's "Gigantic" as Vanessa -- an aspiring actress, of all things.

Her faher Joe was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1999 for playing Dean Martin in HBO's "The Rat Pack."
