'Country Strong': Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw duet on 'Me and Tennessee'

country-strong-gwyneth-tim.jpgOur fascination with "Country Strong" continues unabated.

Whether it's a straight-up showbiz story of loss and redemption or, as our Mikey O'Connell suggested a few days ago, a subversive satire, we're still kind of intrigued. A lot of that has to do with the idea of Gwyneth Paltrow -- she of the occasionally affected half-British accent, lifestyle advice and "Shakespeare in Love" Oscar -- playing a hard-drinking Nashville star. And the idea of Blair Waldorf -- er, Leighton Meester -- as an ambitious, up-and-coming artist.

Something we can't deny, though, is that Paltrow can sing. Whether "Country Strong" works as drama or not, what we've heard of the soundtrack sounds pretty promising. One of the tunes from the movie, a duet between Paltrow and co-star Tim McGraw called "Me and Tennessee," is embedded below. (The song, incidentally, was written by Paltrow's husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin.)

Take a listen -- sounds pretty decent, no? Will the music be enough to get you into the theater to see "Country Strong"?
