Box office: 'Little Fockers' wins first holiday duel against 'True Grit'
"The Fockers" are back and better than ever. Despite some not so great reviews, "Little Fockers" grossed $7.2 million on Wednesday, winning the first round of the holiday box office showdown. While it's a win, it's still down from the $12.1 million first day opening of "Meet the Fockers" six years ago. "Little Fockers" is expected to bring in $70 million over the five-day holiday weekend.The Coen Brothers' Western "True Grit" also opened to solid numbers, earning $5.6 million and is expected to make between $20-25 million. The film is getting strong reviews (especially the performances of Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld) so that number could end up being higher come Sunday. Jeff Bridges' other film, "Tron: Legacy," just held off "Grit," making $5.7 million.
Opening this weekend is "Gulliver's Travels," which stars Jack Black and Emily Blunt, and award show darlings "The King's Speech" and "Black Swan" (which came in seventh on Wednesday, bringing in $1.8 million) are expanding into more theaters on Christmas day (Saturday).

True Grit, and Little Fockers could do a switcharoo if Grit contines to perform like a true blockbuster. Either way both will have amazing weekends.
