Barbara Walters' crush Kurt Warner sounds off on trip-gate

'The View' has been unpredictable lately. First Prince sends Sherri Shepherd into blissful apoplectic shock with a surprise visit and now Barbara Walters gets a sneak attack from her apparent crush, Kurt Warner.

The retired NFL quarterback and "Dancing With the Stars" Season 11 cast member hit up the ladies during their Dec. 14 broadcast. And after initial fawning, including a flower delivery and a peck on the cheek, things got hot topical with talk of Sunday's tripping incident at the Jets/Dolphins game.

And wouldn't you know it, Warner thinks New York Jets assistant coach Sal Alosi was out of line when he intentionally tripped Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll. Warner did acknowledge what we've all sort of been thinking though... that in the heat of the moment, doing something like that can definitely cross your mind.

As for Walters' swooning, Warner is quite proud of her affections. "I've done a lot of things in my career," he says, of Walters' October declaration of affection, "but I thought, I've finally made it. When that happens, you know that you've finally made it."

"that in the heat of the moment, doing something like that can definitely cross your mind"

Are you kidding? Maybe you are thinking that - I certainly don't think a lot of other people are thinking that.

The guy is a coach, for crying out loud. He could have seriously injured the Dolphins player by blowing out a knee or breaking his leg. If a coach can't maintain self control on the sideline, they shouldn't be a coach - whether at the pee wee, high school, college or pro level.
