'America's Next Top Model': Vogue Italia previews Ann Ward's cover shoot
Tall and ultra-slim Ann Ward battled her feelings of awkwardness to win the title on Cycle 15's "America's Next Top Model" and now Vogue Italia has given us a preview shot from her cover shoot, which will appear in their supplemental May 2011 Beauty in Vogue issue.
"Watching Ann realize that she is uniquely beautiful standing tall at 6'2," host and executive producer Tyra Banks tells Vogue Italia. "Is one of the reasons I make it a point to choose contestants that the audience can relate to. Women should understand that there is no such thing as standard beauty."
Ann will also appear in a fashion spread in the actual pages of Vogue Italia as part of her win.

Sorry, but I cannot believe Ann won. Not only is she anorexic looking, ugly and plain (even her name is plain), she exhibited no personality on the show. She is the epitome of the too thin model so many designers are avoiding these days. I find it painful to even look at her. Sorry, Ann.

You're a fool, Versace, IMG, Franca Sozzani, Patrick Demarchalier, Roylston, Andre Leon Talley, Italian Vogue, those doyennes of high fashion saw Ann and decided that's what they wanted. Even Zac Posen waxed lyrical on her uniqueness, you don't know what you're talking about, Ann is high fashion, designers the top ones champion her look and frame, her career has been set, and you're being "sorry" is immaterial, the people in the know aren't. She richly and deservedly won, the only high fashion girl to ever appear on ANTM.
I hope her cover will be exciting! Because that's something Vogue Italia usually succeeds in.
I dont know how Anne won. A Top model should be beautiful, thats why they are models. She looks like a man with her Adams apple. And she is probably one of the ugliest girls on the competition, although the girl she was competing with, Chelsey wasnt much better looking than she is.
Ann,I love you! Finally, a lady I had high hopes for, won ANTM. I have been disappointed in this show almost every season until now! And told myself not to watch, but anyway... CONGRATS! Ann, you are one of a kind. Celebrate it!!
Ann is tall. Ann is skinny. Ann is awkward. All of these are true. But that's what makes her so beautiful. A majority of the girls in the world never walk perfectly like the typical model, or pose perfectly. A lot of girls have trouble even talking perfectly (as pointed out with Ann in ANTM). That's the thing about Ann. She's REAL. She's probably one of the most beautiful, humble, and unique girls I have ever seen. She's probably captured the hearts of many people because of this. The haters can hate all they want. None of it's going to change the fact that she's got breathtaking beauty and the fact that she won ANTM with it.
