'True Blood's' Joe Manganiello is in 'talks' to play Superman, not 'negotiations.' Got it?
There has been quite a fan movement to cast "True Blood" star Joe Manganiello in the heroic lead role in Warner Bros.' new "Superman" flick slated for a 2012 release.
At the EyeCon Convention held in Orlando over the weekend (Nov. 5 - 7), Manganiello addressed the fan campaign and made many of the convention attendees jittery with the anticipation of seeing him in the red and blue tights.
"I met with Warner Bros. and we're talking about it," Manganiello says according to AccidentalSexiness.com.
He adds, "There's a lot of factors that have to go in [to it], obviously. But we're talking about it, so thank you."
You can imagine the chatter that statement created. So much so that Manganiello had to clarify what he actually meant on Twitter.
"Just to be clear... As of today, I am not 'negotiating' to play Superman," he writes. "But keep your fingers crossed and thanks for the wishful thinking."

I'd be hard-pressed to name a WORSE CHOICE for the role. Movie execs, look at Joe's stache, which grows right up into his odd nose. The guy is NOT "all that" in any way. To even suggest this guy ahead of luminaries such as Tom Welling or Matt Bomer, etc. is insulting.
