Rosie O'Donnell on Charlie Sheen: 'There is help out there'
Rosie O'Donnell is gearing up for her return to talk on Oprah Winfrey's network, OWN, in January. And it's clear she's still as opinionated as we remember her from her stint on "The View."
When Extra TV caught up with her at the Worldwide Orphans Benefit Gala, she sounded off on some hot topics including "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen's latest fall from grace and newly announced divorce.
"I hope Charlie gets the help he needs," she says. "There is help out there, addiction is a serious thing... that disease is deadly and not everybody survives. I know his father very well, I know his brother very well... they're a lovely family."
She also voiced her take on recent talk show news, including the battle between Bill O'Reilly and her former ABC co-hosts saying "I certainly think anyone has the right to say 'I don't want to participate in this' and get up and go."
She adds, "There's a lot of strong-willed women on that show, and that's what the show is. You're supposed to say your opinion and sometimes it gets noisy."
