President Obama's Black Friday lip injury: A dozen stitches
Barack Obama is finding it's dangerous out there on Black Friday, but not necessarily because of the hordes of people shopping.The President received 12 stitches in his lip after sustaining an injury on Friday (Nov. 26) at Fort McNair, reports the Washington Post.
Apparently, the POTUS had been playing an early morning pickup game of basketball when someone's elbow connected with his lip. The face check was inadvertent, according to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.
After the Secret Service no doubt swarmed in, Obama retreated to the White House where he received the stitches in the doctor's office on the ground floor.
There's no word whether or not the President was leading in the game or not.
Hang in there, Obama, and have some leftover turkey soup for what ails you.
