No 'Twilight' for 'True Blood's' Ryan Kwanten: Not his cup of tea

When we spoke to "True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten at KTLA, he told us all about his current movie in theatres, "Red Hill." That was before the announcement that he had signed on to not only play Charles Manson in a film slated for next year, but produce it, as well.

"I'm moving into making choices that challenge me," he tells NextMovie.com. "Nothing can be more uninspiring than choosing films that are very similar to 'True Blood' or characters exactly like Jason. I'm trying to do films that are a total departure."

That means that fans who have apparently been campaigning for a role for him in the next "Twilight" chapter, "Breaking Dawn," shouldn't hold their breath.

"I see why people love it," says Kwanten. "And I see why it has a huge audience. I just don't like that material. It's just not my cup of tea."

Maybe he should say that it's not his cup of blood. Why do True Blood actors knock Twilight? when Twilight actors don't knock other vampire movies/TV series.
Playing Charles Manson, okay, talk about creepy.
Most Twilight fans don't want him in the saga anyway.

Twilight is a much more lucrative franchise. True Blood actors are just jealous -- they should really stop saying these things. It's making them sound immature.
