Mariah Carey emancipates baby from Ellen DeGeneres' gender predictions

Newly pregnant Mariah Carey, ever the dry interview, stops by Ellen Degeneres' Nov. 2 broadcast. And though the star does indulge her host in some hilarious offerings of food (apple cider, pickles, crackers and dark chocolate), she's not about to let Ellen guess the baby's sex.

When Ellen asks if she can make a prediction, Mimi shoots her down. "I would prefer not," she says. "Imagine if you're a baby inside someone's body. Do you really want someone imposing their sex ideas on you? Not really? I'm just saying. Would you want them to be like it's definitely a girl...would you?"

To which Ellen replies, "I'm a girl."

You sure are, Ellen. And you can impose your sex ideas on little Glitter Cannon-Carey all you want.
