Lady Gaga's eight wax treatments: Isn't that excessive?

lady-gaga-lace-bodysuit-bri.jpgNo need to fight. There's enough Lady Gaga for all her little monsters.

Madame Tussauds' famed wax museums around the world will get their own unique Lady Gaga wax figures. She makes history with eight different outrageous Gagas for eight different cities. The grand unveiling will take place on Dec. 9 in each of the locations, including three in the U.S. in New York, Las Vegas and Hollywood. The international Madame Tussauds are in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

We know which styles will be revealed, but not which city will get which style.

The eight styles that will be revealed are:

  • Lady in Lace - Alex Noble lace body stocking and Philip Treacy face mask topped off with Marie Antoinette-inspired hairstyle.  As seen at The Brit Awards 2010 (pictured above)
  • Telephone - Philip Treacy telephone hat paired with a black Armani coat, flared trousers and towering heels. As seen on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" in March 2010.
  • Harlequin - Black Marjan Pejoski bodysuit with oversized black neck ruff and sleek, super straight platinum hair.  As seen at Grand Intercontinental Hotel Seoul, South Korea.
  • Kinky Boots - Short black Bruno Pieters leather bodysuit cut away to reveal black lace bra, quirky "disc" hat and thigh high black boots.  As worn at the Hakkasan restaurant in London in April 2009.
  • Minnie Mouse - Off one shoulder black latex body suit with long straight hair topped off with "Minnie Mouse" style buns.  As seen at the BBC Radio 1 studios in London.
  • Hair Hat - Gaga's own blonde locks splayed out into a huge sunhat teamed with black see-through net dress.  As seen at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
  • Wired "wing" dress with lightning "eye" - Short black Orschel-Read strapless dress with wired, thigh high patent boots and black lightning stripe make up over one eye.  As worn on the "Wetten Dass..?" game show in Germany in November 2009.
  • Big Hair - Towering purple hair piece atop waist length platinum locks, with nude Maison Martin Margiela bodysuit, white blazer and huge platforms.  As seen outside Phoenix Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark in July 2009.

Here's a look at one of the Gaga clay heads, which will then be molded in wax. All eight of the figures are being worked on simultaneously at Merlin Studios in West London, England over the course of four months. The cost per Gaga is $300 K, or a grand total of $2.4 million for the Gaga gaggle.

what a waste of $$. probably she won't even be relevant in a few years....

Kevin, Lady Gaga is not a flash in the pan. She will be around for years to come. She isn't just a freak show, she has great talent and a great voice to back it all up. She'll be a powerhouse for as long as Madonna has, many see her as "the next Madonna". So 8 wax figures of her is definitely not a waste of money.

Saw the headline and thought this was going to be a story about hair removal. Glad it's not. That would be TMI for sure.

:-0, LOL!!

Lady Gaga the next Madonna? oh puh-lease....

No Lady Gaga is not the next Madonna, She is way better than that talentless hog, Gaga is her own Amazing Artist, Madonna who?
Madonna was just a great Marketer,
not a real Artist with talent,
Madonna the Queen of Pop HaHaHa more like the Queen of Marketing,
Lady Gaga is the real Queen of Pop.

Gaga is NO lady, but one could say she is an exhibitionist. As for her becoming the "next Madonna"--wish for a monkey in your soup and see if it comes true. This no-talented exhibitionist will not last that long; as the song says: "Thank God and Greyhound, she's gone."

agreed CJM. i think you said it perfectly.

don't you feel like getting a bat and just bashing that dumb broad's head in!!

I am so sick of her. Why would I ever want to look at her not talented nor pretty. Just a media ***** like Kim K.
