Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt's lack of sense extends to money

Guess what? Replacing most of your body with silicone and trying to self-start a vanity music career costs a lot of money.

"Hills" has beens Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have blown through $10 million and owe another $2 million to the taxman. Pratt has looked into collecting unemployment, his parents buy the couple groceries once a week and they're living in the studio apartment guest house at Montag's parents' house.

Plasti-Heidi admits that they were so desperate for money at one point that she considered posing nude for Playboy.

At least they admit "we did this to ourselves and feel like idiots" to Life & Style.

Pratt thought that "The Hills" would be like "Beverly Hills 90210" and they'd have at least another five to 10 years of employment to make up for the money they were blowing through. So when the final season's 20 episodes were cut in half and they weren't paid for 10 of them, they were in a bit of a fix since they'd already prespent their anticipated earnings.

Turns out,  they never took something like "Jersey Shore" into consideration.

"Before, TV audiences, were fine with seeing us all argue, but now they want you to punch one another in the face and hook up with three different people," Pratt observes. "Out cast was a bit boring and snoozeworthy in comparison. No wonder we go canceled."

No wonder.
